If you’ve been with Cilloya for a while, you might remember our Bath Teas. They were one of the first products I ever created—a way to bring botanicals, salts, and soothing fragrance into a warm bath at the end of a long day.
But here’s the truth I had to face as both a maker and a woman with a boatload of other things to do: Most of us rarely have time for a long bath.
Many of the women I created Cilloya for are juggling work, children, partners, aging parents, and communities. A 45-minute soak sounds beautiful in theory, but some days, even sitting down to drink a glass of water feels like a luxury.
That’s why, as part of Cilloya’s refresh, I’ve promoted my bath teas into something that makes more sense for real, busy lives: Bath + Shower Infusions.
Why I Reframed the Experience
I started noticing a pattern in the feedback I was getting. People would tell me:
- “I bought the bath tea, but I’m saving it for a special day.”
- “I don’t have a bathtub, but I wanted to support your business.”
- “I feel guilty using it on a random Tuesday.”
I never wanted Cilloya products to become something you have to “earn” or wait for a "special occasion" to enjoy. I wanted to know: How can I make this experience more flexible, more accessible, and more honest about how we actually live?
You don’t need a full spa day to deserve a moment of care. You just need something that meets you where you are—tub or no tub.
What Exactly is a Bath + Shower Infusion?
A Bath + Shower Infusion is a blend of salts, botanicals, and a curated scent profile (some blends feature essential oils, while others—like Soften—are intentionally EO-free).
Instead of a bulky pouch that requires measuring, our infusions now come in a curated box set of three single-use sachets. Each sachet is pre-filled and ready to go, accompanied by a small wooden spoon and extra empty sachets for those who prefer a "no-mess" experience in the shower.
It’s the same slow-crafted, botanical blends you loved—now designed for both the bathtub and the shower.
How to Use Them (No "Rituals" Required)
In the Bath:
If you are a bath lover, this is for you. Simply place one pre-filled sachet directly into warm running bath water. Let it steep for a few minutes as the botanicals and salts disperse. Step in, breathe deeply, and give yourself permission to be still. The sachet keeps the botanicals contained, so you don't have to spend your "relaxation time" cleaning herbs out of your drain later.
In the Shower:
This is the "real life" pivot. To use your infusion in the shower, hang the sachet from your shower head, faucet, or a hook where it will be hit by the steam and a light splash of water (but not the full, direct stream).
As the warm steam hits the sachet, it draws out the scent and properties of the blend. It’s not "just" a shower—it’s a sensory reset that happens while you’re doing what you were already going to do anyway.
Why This Matters for Busy Women
I created these with the woman in mind who:
- Doesn’t have time for a long soak (or a bathtub at all).
- Is caregiving for others and only gets brief pockets of time alone.
- Feels guilty for “indulging” in herself.
Self-care does not have to be big to be meaningful. If all you have is the time it takes to shampoo your hair, you can still turn that into something softer and more supportive of your nervous system.
A Final Note from Me to You
Renaming these blends wasn’t just a branding decision. It was a promise that Cilloya will always consider your real life—your schedule, your responsibilities, and your exhaustion—when I create products.
I don’t want self-care to feel like another assignment on your to-do list. I want it to feel like an exhale.
Whether you have a deep soaking tub or a seven-minute window in a stand-up shower, my hope is that these Infusions give you one small, intentional moment that belongs only to you.
With care,
Neicey
